We can provide preliminary project leadership to kick-start a challenging new contract. We initiate effective working by defining clear roles, responsibilities and communication channels, bedding-in efficient practices and establishing robust quality control procedures. We can do this in a client facing role as a member of your team, or through support and guidance behind the scenes. In either case, we aim to ensure your client is confident that their needs are clearly understood, while also managing your project risks and maximising your opportunities.

We can also provide continued project management coverage, working within your existing company procedures to achieve specific project objectives. We will help you to establish a clear division of responsibilities between project manager and technical expert, allowing both departments to get on with what they do best!

In a similar capacity to our project management services, we provide technical leadership on noise, vibration and air quality projects to support the preparation and submission of deliverables that meet the needs of both your business and your client. This role can work as a standalone service on a single large project, or across multiple projects within a sector of the company.

Taking our involvement above project level, we offer support with the development and implementation of company-wide operational improvements aimed at realising the ambitions of a business plan. We work with senior people to review and adapt operational structures and processes to ensure quality, whilst maintaining efficiency and a positive working culture. We can also help you to capitalise on new business opportunities, collaborate with partners, navigate the demands of a merger, or define your company vision and core values.

About us

Project Environmental was founded in 2021 by Gary Wickens with a clear aim: to make a positive contribution to projects and companies seeking long-term environmental and social benefits. Gary has previously had roles as Technical Lead, Project Director and Business Unit Manager, specialising in environmental consultancy and monitoring services in the building and infrastructure sectors.

Having previously worked on major infrastructure schemes including HS2, Crossrail and Thames Tideway, Gary is experienced in successfully bidding for, negotiating, and leading the delivery of complex projects with multiple interfaces, technical challenges and commercial pressures.

Gary has written business strategies for established business streams, to launch new services, and for international expansion. He has also led a company-wide organisational restructure to address operational inefficiencies and to facilitate cross-company integration following an international merger.
